Agent’s Portal
The following terms and conditions supplement the General Conditions of Use described
above.
Agent’s Portal is Insular Life’s internet-based facility accessible by its agency
force. Active agents in good standing may apply for enrollment through online registration.
Online access requires an electronic identification which consists of a user name,
password, and other security codes that Insular Life may require. Through the use
of your username, password and security codes you may be able to access your production
information, client information, company information and/or be able to perform transactions
with Insular Life on this website. This access requires you to transmit personal
information or any information related to the specific transaction you will perform.
By using this website to access your production information, customer’s policy information,
company information , I-Quote proposal system, you consent to the electronic transmission
of your personal information and any other information you have provided related
to the specific transaction.
It is agreed that your use of your electronic identifications in accessing Agent’s
Portal is the legal equivalent to your written acceptance to the General Conditions
of Use and that your identity as an authorized user of the Agent’s Portal shall
thereafter be conclusively established by the presentment to us when required of
said user name, password and security codes.
Your Responsibility to Prevent Unauthorized Access to Your Accounts
You undertake to protect your user name, password and security codes, and to be
solely responsible for the confidentiality and use of such electronic identifications.
You accept full responsibility for all transactions entered through your account.
You agree to immediately notify us if you believe your username, password and security
codes have been compromised, or if you become aware that these electronic identifications
are being used in an unauthorized manner or if you receive any confirmation of a
transaction that you did not enter, or if your received confirmation or a report
containing conflicting or inconsistent information regarding your policy.
Failure to notify us of one of the above conditions will release us and our employees
and associates from any responsibility or liability to you or any other person or
entity resulting from the management or loss of any transaction.
We reserve the right to block electronic access to your account and client information
at any time. We further reserve the right to modify the information contained on
this website or modify the availability of any transactions at any time. We may
immediately and without notice terminate your access to your account information
if you violate the conditions of use stated herein or if you endanger the use of
the services provided through this Web site.
Confidentiality
We have in our custody the information you have indicated in your CAR (Complete
Application Requirements), Agent’s Contract, and/or Unit Manager’s Contract; District
Sales Manager’s Contract; General Agency Contract . Insular Life respects the privacy
of your personal and client information.
We value our relationship with you and we ensure that this relationship is imbued
with utmost good faith, trust and confidence. As such, we work hard to maintain
your privacy. Moreover, we are very careful to preserve the fiduciary nature of
our relationship with you. While the very nature of our business sometimes requires
that we collect or share certain information about you with others, we make sure
that you consent to our handling and protection of your personal information.
Our policies and procedures for collecting and disclosing personal information are
detailed below.
We may collect non-public personal information about you from:
- Applications or other forms, interviews, or by other means;
- Your transactions (both personal and online) with us, or others;
- Our Internet Web site.
Any information we collect about you is used only:
- As reference for formulation of campaigns that will aid in your professional development
and sales performance;
- To administer your transaction;
- As permitted by law;
- As authorized by you.
Some disclosures may be limited to your name, contact details, transaction information

employees, associates, and others who use these information to perform their functions
to provide you services. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards

- Insurance Commission;

- Anti-Money Laundering Council;

If despite reasonable precautions that we at Insular Life have taken, circumstances
beyond our control such as failure of electronic or mechanical equipment or communication
lines or other interconnection problems or severe natural calamities, or other such
events, occur, we shall not be held liable for any losses.
COMPASS
By clicking the "I have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions" button or take
any other affirmative action indicating your acceptance of this Agreement, then you have agreed to these terms:
1. Further to the terms and conditions on the use of the Agent’s Portal found in
https://portal.insularlife.com.ph/AgentPortal/TermsAndConditions.aspx,
the use of COMPASS, either online or offline access of the mobile app, and
updates to said mobile app, will also be governed, to the extent that may
be applicable, by the foregoing provisions that may be amended from time to time.
2. Introduction
COMPASS is a tool that assists InLife Financial Advisors (FA) provide their prospects and
existing customers consistent and personalized experiences during the initial sales process.
As such, COMPASS is intended solely for InLife FA’s use.
Certain components of COMPASS may interphase with native apps in your device. Make sure to back up your device
regularly if you need to store important information in your device that may be affected by COMPASS.
2.1 What are the requirements to use COMPASS?
- Access to Agent’s Portal
- Device (e.g. smartphone, tablet) capable of detecting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) such as PIN Code, Biometrics or Facial Recognition
- Internet/Data connection to proceed with the registration
2.2 What are the functions of COMPASS?
The basic functions of COMPASS include:
- Registration of an account to allow access via login using pre-assigned MFA.
- Access details of leads and existing customers
- Create leads list/records
- View Transaction List/Status
- Push leads data to Automated Underwriting System (AUS)
- Synching of offline data with online data and vice-versa
- Call native phone features and auto-populate information for saving in local storage or sending notifications:
- contacts
- calendar
- email
- SMS
- Other features may be introduced as we continue to develop COMPASS
3. Registration of an account
To create an account and continue the use of such account, you must:
- 3.1. Have an active license and have been registered in the Agent’s Portal;
- 3.2. Secure access/log-in details to access COMPASS and not allow any other person to use your account to access COMPASS;
- 3.3. Inform us immediately if you have any reasonable ground to believe that there has been an unauthorized use of your account.
4. Account access
- 4.1. Upon registration to COMPASS, you need to verify your credentials through Agent’s Portal.
- 4.2. You will be required to assign/activate your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) such as PIN Code, Biometrics or Facial Recognition on your device.
- 4.3. You must keep your account details confidential;
- 4.4. You will bear solely service provider and telecommunications fees or other charges, if any, incurred with the use of COMPASS.
- 4.5. While using COMPASS, you undertake to comply with all applicable laws and other regulations of the Philippines.
- 4.6. You are accountable for any activity using your account and may be held liable for any losses/damages arising from such use.
- 4.7. You will accept sole responsibility for any breach of your obligations under the Terms and Conditions and for any consequences resulting therefrom.
- 4.8. You will indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims relating to your unlawful use of COMPASS or use of the same that is contrary to these Terms and Conditions.
Effective date of your account will the date of activation of your COMPASS account. Your Agent’s Portal and COMPASS accounts will be deactivated automatically upon separation from Insular Life, for whatever reason.
5. Use restriction
You shall not, directly, indirectly, alone, or with another party,
- 5.1. copy, disassemble, reverse engineer, or decompile COMPASS;
- 5.2. modify, create derivative works based upon, or translate COMPASS;
- 5.3. license, sell, rent, lease, transfer, grant any rights in or otherwise commercially exploit COMPASS in any form to any other party,
nor attempt to do any of the foregoing or cause or permit any third party to do or attempt to do any of the foregoing.
6. Cancellation and suspension of accounts
At any time in our sole discretion with or without notice to you, we may:
- 6.1. Flag your account
If we come to know of any unusual activity, your account may be flagged for monitoring which may lead to restriction of your access.
- 6.2. Suspend your account;
We usually suspend an account for any unauthorized use or any suspicious activity in your account.
You may also cancel your account at any time. Within thirty (30) days following cancellation, on any grounds whatsoever, we will be entitled to delete the data stored in InLife servers or any other storage media.
7. Ownership
We retain ownership of COMPASS and all Intellectual Property Rights comprising:
- 7.1. the database of content built, operated and maintained by InLife;
- 7.2. any other software made available by InLife for the purpose of accessing leads and existing customers.
8. Customer Data
Customer Data shall refer to any of customer’s information, documents, or electronic files that are obtained, collected, created or accessed through COMPASS.
9. Assignment
Insular Life may assign any of its rights to COMPASS at any time; provided, however, that it shall not assign the rights granted to Customer Data except:
- 9.1. in connection with the sale COMPASS, or
- 9.2. in case of outsourcing of development of COMPASS;
that would reasonably require the acquirer or the service provider, as the case may be, to be assigned such rights to the Customer Data.
10. Data privacy and confidentiality
- 10.1. You will keep confidential and will not disclose to any third party any Customer Data obtained, collected, created or accessed through COMPASS.
- 10.2. You will comply with applicable data protection laws in relation to Customer Data.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
- 11.1. We disclaim any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to COMPASS, or the availability, functionality, performance or results of its use. You will have no entitlement to uninterrupted availability of COMPASS. InLife therefore reserves the right to temporarily restrict the ability to use COMPASS as necessary due to maintenance work, capacity limits, the security or integrity of the server, or in order to perform technical measures.
- 11.2. We disclaim any warranty that COMPASS, or its operation of the system are or will be accurate, error-free or uninterrupted.
12. Disclaimer of Liabilities
- 12.1. We disclaim any liability with respect to COMPASS, or its use, for indirect, special, incidental, punitive or consequential loss or damages even we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- 12.2. We shall not be liable for any loss of or failure to realize expected profit, revenue, savings or any other form of pure economic loss, whether any such loss is direct or indirect.
